School Enrolment, Retention Drives, and Child Rights Awareness

Seba Jagat focuses on increasing school enrollment and retention rates in rural and tribal communities through community mobilization and tracking. Our efforts prioritize the inclusion of marginalized children, particularly girls and children from tribal communities, by addressing the barriers that prevent them from accessing education. These barriers often include lack of awareness, early marriage, distance from schools, and financial constraints. To counter these challenges, Seba Jagat conducts community mobilization campaigns that involve local leaders, parents, and teachers to raise awareness about the importance of education and the rights of children. These campaigns include door-to-door visits, community meetings, and educational workshops that highlight the long-term benefits of education for children, especially girls, in terms of economic empowerment and social equality. Additionally, Seba Jagat integrates child rights awareness into its education programs, promoting understanding of childrens rights, protection mechanisms, and the importance of safeguarding children from exploitation, child labor, and abuse. This combined approach of enrollment drives, retention initiatives, and child rights education ensures that children have the opportunity to attend school, remain in school, and grow up in an environment where their rights are respected and protected.

Nutrition Support, Early Childhood Education

Nutrition and early childhood education are critical components of Seba Jagats comprehensive approach to child development. Our nutrition support programs focus on ensuring that children, especially in tribal areas, receive adequate nourishment from a young age. We provide nutrition counseling to parents, organize health camps, and distribute micronutrient-rich supplements to combat malnutrition. This early intervention helps to improve childrens cognitive development, school readiness, and overall health. In addition to direct nutrition support, Seba Jagat also links parents, particularly mothers, to livelihood programs that enhance their income and economic stability, ensuring that they can sustainably meet the nutritional needs of their children. By facilitating access to income-generating activities, we enable families to provide better food security, ensuring that children receive consistent and nutritious meals. Through a combination of nutrition support, early childhood education, and inclusive educational practices, Seba Jagat works towards ensuring that every child—regardless of their background or abilities—has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. By focusing on early interventions and creating inclusive educational settings, we help children develop the skills they need to succeed academically and socially, thus contributing to a more equitable society. Additionally, by linking livelihood opportunities for parents to better nutrition and educational outcomes, we foster long-term sustainability and holistic development for children and families.
